FAQ
The game is quite challenging for a beginner! Can I simplify the rules for the first play?
AnswerOf course! We would suggest excluding the ability of the 0 (zero) card at the beginning. Also feel free to modify existing rules or come up with your own! We’d love to hear all the ways of playing this game you’ve come up with (we check this email!) : lowfivegames@gmail.comCan I discard the opponent's card (based on the "DISCARDING CARDS" section of the rules) that I just viewed during my turn?
AnswerYes, absolutely. You can discard a card regardless at what point in the game you saw it. However, remember that this rule can be used only by one player once per turn.If I discard my card (based on the "DISCARDING CARDS" section of the rules), do I need to draw an additional card from the deck into my hand?
AnswerNo. If you discard a card from your hand that is identical to the one on top of the discard pile, you simply get rid of that card. There are no consequences, and you don't need to draw an additional card.According to the "CARD ABILITIES" section in the rules, certain cards enable the player to swap cards on the table. Can I swap two cards of the same player?
AnswerThis is not stipulated in the rules. While playing, you will understand that it doesn't do much for the game. The opponent, while trying to discard my card, accidentally picked the wrong card (not identical to the card on top of the discard pile). He took a penalty card, but revealed my card to all the other players. It seems unfair to me!
AnswerLife is filled with unfairness! But trust us: it's unlikely that all your opponents remembered that card. Just enjoy the game and continue playing! If a player got a negative score during a round, how should their score be counted in the following rounds (in case of playing in sets)?
AnswerA player can have a negative score after each round - their scores simply sum up (including negative scores). What happens if a player ended a game (knocked) but it turned out they have more than five points?
AnswerIf a player ends a game, thinking they have 5 or fewer points but in reality they have more points (i.e. they make a mistake), they receive a penalty of 20 points. What happens if a player cheats and looks at their cards?
AnswerIf a player unauthorizedly looks at their own cards or the cards of other players, they must blindly draw two additional cards from the deck and add them to their hand face down. If a player violates the card viewing rule for a second time during a single game (set), they receive a penalty of 50 points at the end of the round. Can I purchase LOW 5 at an offline store?
